Maliina joined Nash Baker in 2020 during lockdown, after graduating from the University of Edinburgh with Distinction. Her award-nominated Master’s thesis explored the relationship of the ground and the city and its inhabitants in Naples, focusing on social regeneration. Originally from Finland, she grew up in Luxembourg with a passion for different cultures and cities. She finished her undergraduate at the University of Bath in 2013, exploring natural materials and sustainable design, all tracing back to her Nordic roots.
Before joining Nash Baker, Maliina has worked across a variety of schemes in central London, with experience in listed buildings and retrofit projects in particular, developing an interest in refurbishment and re-use.
In her free time, she enjoys walks and runs in nature, and working on her gluten-free cinnamon rolls.
